Visiting Cameroon

Also known as Africa in miniature, Cameroon is gifted with diverse socio cultural, ethnographic, ecological, geographical, and anthropological endowments. You will be captivated by the unique and impressive fauna and flora and also the immense beauty of its landscapes. Cameroon has a unique culture illustrated by its traditional architecture, cuisine, festivals, folklore which are modelled on its ancestral values.

Cameroon is divided into major climate areas; the equatorial and sub-equatorial area to the south and tropical areas to the north. The south offers stunning tropical forests and beautiful sandy beaches. In the great North, desert, picturesque lakes and savannahs. Volcanic mountains are found in both southwest and northwest regions.

Historic buildings and monuments dating back to the colonial period are spread out over the country. The Foumban Museum in the West region has more than 3000 works of art and historical pieces, some dating back over 600 years. They tell the story of the Bamoun people, one of the oldest kingdoms in Africa.
